A special exhibit at the 2006 Paris Auto Show (Mondial de l'Automobile) was a selection of significant cars from the late 19th century to the mid-1980's. Although most examples were from French manufacturers such as Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, and Talbot-Lago, a few German and Italian cars were included as well. All these rare automobiles were on loan from various car museums scattered throughout France.
