The EyesOn Design show focuses on automotive design significance above rarity and restoration quality. Held on Father's Day at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores near Detroit, this concours is unlike any other. Ford's line of classic and contemporary Thunderbirds was one of the many attractions at this year's show. Fine examples of classic Packards and Cadillacs were complemented with a few Lincolns and Buicks. Full-size Pontiacs and Chevrolets, along with their Chrysler competition were scattered throughout the field. Chrysler brought one of its rare Turbine cars from the early 1960s. Customized pickups from the Fifties through the Seventies added to the breadth of vehicles at the show. Recent examples of Japanese sport coupes included a couple of Nissan Skylines, as well as a Supra and various Subaru Imprezas. European exotics such as the Porsche 959, Lamborghini Countach and Ferrari GTO delighted attendees. As before, EyesOn Design continues to bring the best in recent mass market and exotic cars for its appreciative audience.
