What Changed

Hyundai enters the sport-coupe market this year with the flashy Tiburon, a two door coupe derived from the successful 1993 HCD-II concept car. Tiburon is offered in two trim levels: Tiburon and Tiburon FX. The standard Tiburon features a 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder (130 hp, 122 lb-ft), fully-independent suspension, front disc-brakes, and 195/60R-14 performance tires. The FX model receives an upgraded 2.0-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine (140 hp, 133lb-ft), rear disc-brakes, and alloy wheels. 15-inch wheels and 55-series tires are an option on the FX model. For both models ABS is optional.
