- Overview
The legendary Sentra SE-R returns for 2002, powered by a 2.5L DOHC inline-4 (165-bhp/175 lb.-ft.). The ultimate SE-R is the Spec V, which gets a tweaked version of the QR25DE engine for 175-bhp/180 lb.-ft. A 6-speed manual and helical limited-slip differential are included. Standard SE-R's make do with a 5-speed manual, or 4-speed automatic. 17-inch wheels with 215/45ZR17 are part of the Spec V package, compared with 16-inch wheels shod with 195/55R16 tires for the base SE-R. A 300-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system w/6-disc in-dash changer is available. Skyline-type bucket seats, titanium colored gauges, and aggressively styled body panels are part of the Spec V package. The SE-R goes on sale October 16, 2001.
