The angular Gallardo is the entry level model from Lamborghini, although its performance is comparable to the more expensive Murcielago. A new Gallardo Spyder allows open air cruising and maintains a sleek profile, as the fabric top retracts into the engine compartment. The Spyder's electrohydraulic power-operated top can be raised or lowered in 20 seconds. All models are equipped with a 520-bhp 5.0L V-10, and can accelerate the AWD Gallardo from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds, and continue to a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph). Transmission choices include an e-Gear automatic or 6-speed manual. A limited production Gallardo SE has a sport suspension, rear view camera, and special PZero Corsa tires.
