The Altima line receives a facelift for the 2005 model year. The changes include new front and rear-end treatments and updated instrumentation. The big news is the addition of an Altima SE-R model. The SE-R features a host of distinct exterior trim pieces, 18-inch wheels, a 6-speed manual and a "250+" horsepower version of the VQ35 V6. The SE-R package will be available in September, 2004.
New front fascia, grille, head lamps and tail lamps. New instrument panel and steering wheel. Power on 3.5L V6 increases to 250hp and 249 lb-ft of torque. New SE-R version features distinct front/rear fascias, side sill extensions and a spoiler. SE-Rs 3.5L V6 produces 260hp.
