The Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon trucks were jointly developed with Isuzu. It is only fitting that Isuzu should sell a version of the truck in North America to help bolster its very skimpy model lineup. The i-280 extended cab model is offered only with rear-wheel-drive, an inline 4-cylinder engine and choice of either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. The extended cab features a 6ft bed.
2.9-liter inline four-cylinder engine replaces 2.8-liter, increasing horsepower to 185 hp and torque to 190 ft.-lbs. Model renamed i290.
