Lamborghini has staged a comeback under the guidance of Audi, and the Gallardo is a fine example of this collaboration. With its 520-bhp V-10 and AWD, the relatively compact Gallardo is a direct competitor with the Ferrari F430. Lamborghini claims a 0-100 km/h time of around 4.3 seconds, and a top speed over 314 km/h. Aside from the Gallardo Coupe, other variants include the Gallardo Roadster, Nera, SE, and the Superleggera. Lamborghini has an e.gear automatic transmission as an alternative to the standard 6-speed manual. Equipped with fat 235/35ZR19 & 395/30ZR19 (F/R) Pirelli PZero Corsa tires and 8-piston/4-piston (F/R) Brembo brakes, the Gallardo has the handling capabilities of a true thoroughbred. Standard ESP (Electronic Stability Program) keeps the Gallardo on track, although it can be switched off if desired. Options include a rearview camera, ride height adjustment, and navigation system. In addition, the "Privilegio" program allows customers to choose a leather package, carbon fiber package, winter package, and other wheel and trim enhancements to individualize each Gallardo.
