The Hyundai Elantra is also available in a coupe body style. Compact coupes are rare; the only direct competitors are the Honda Civic, Kia Forte and Scion tC. In comparison to these vehicles, the Elantra coupe is 1-2 inches larger in almost dimension. A fuel-efficient 1.8l four-cylinder engine is the only engine available. With 148-bhp, the Elantra has more power than the standard Honda Civic, but still posts high fuel economy ratings of 28/38 (MT). Offered in GLS and SE trim levels, the coupe has a higher level of standard equipment than the sedan. The top SE trim includes heated leather seats.
Hyundai introduced a coupe version of the Elantra for the 2013 model year. Virtually identical in every dimension to the sedan, the coupe also includes the same standard 1.8l four-cylinder engine and six-speed transmissions. Offered in GLS and SE trim levels, the coupe has a higher level of standard equipment than the sedan.
